Consider your space
Find the right size and style for their room.

A king single bunk bed gives each child a bed 14 cm wider and 15 cm longer than a single – so siblings won't outgrow it before their teens. Choose a ladder or storage stairs, under-bed drawers, or a trundle for a third sleeper.
Each bunk takes a standard king single mattress (107 × 203 cm). The top bunk is not suitable for children under 9, and the top mattress should be no more than 20 cm thick – see our bunk bed mattresses.

Consider your child’s age, available room space and how long you would like the bed to last. A single bed suits most children, while a king single provides extra width and length for growing kids.
Choose a bunk bed that meets the relevant product safety requirements, follow the recommended age guidance and mattress height, and check that guard rails and the ladder are used correctly.
Yes. Trundle designs provide an extra sleeping surface that stores beneath the main bed, making them useful for sleepovers and rooms where floor space matters.
