Double Loft Beds

A double loft bed gives teens a full double bed without giving up floor space – the area underneath fits a desk, a small sofa or extra storage.

It takes a standard double mattress (137 × 188 cm). Loft beds are not suitable for children under 9, and the mattress should be no more than 20 cm thick – see our bunk bed mattresses.

Common questions about kids beds

What size bed is right for my child?+

Consider your child’s age, available room space and how long you would like the bed to last. A single bed suits most children, while a king single provides extra width and length for growing kids.

Are bunk beds safe for kids?+

Choose a bunk bed that meets the relevant product safety requirements, follow the recommended age guidance and mattress height, and check that guard rails and the ladder are used correctly.

Do you offer trundle beds?+

Yes. Trundle designs provide an extra sleeping surface that stores beneath the main bed, making them useful for sleepovers and rooms where floor space matters.
